Sapurji: GM Centre Liens Forward
There are a couple interesting stories related to the Oshawa Generals and their new home, the General Motors Centre.
The first is in regards to the actual construction of the building as Oshawa This Week is reporting that roughly $1.1 million worth of liens have been filed on the arena by contractors who are still waiting to be paid by the Generals for their completed work.

The Vancouver Giants are the 2007 Memorial Cup Champions with a 3-1 win against the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Doyle: OHL referee to work Memorial Cup Final
VANCOUVER, BC - Congratulations to Ontario Hockey League referee Sean Reid, he has been selected to work the championship game of the 2007 Memorial Cup in Vancouver. This is the first Cup for Reid, who will work alongside WHL ref Kyle Rehman.
Doyle: Tavares and Kane grab CHL Hardware
VANCOUVER, BC - Oshawa's John Tavares won CHL Player of the Year Saturday here in Vancouver, while London's Patrick Kane picked up rookie of the year to go along with top draft prospect and top scorer.
