Sapurji: It's Shepley not Shapley
This should give you some idea of my mental state right now: as I read the title of Terry's blog below, my first thought was not of Zack Shepley, but rather, Larry Shapley.
...This should come as little surprise, since you'd have to wonder about the sanity of someone who makes a living as a lowly OHL reporter, like myself.
I'm actually trying to think of a Shapley highlight and I'm having a tough time. Shapley played in the OHL from 1996-98 with the Peterborough Petes, during which time he scored a grand total of one goal. Whatever happened to him anyway?
NOTE: I know there are a few of the current and former Peterborough contingent who read the blog, so if you know, drop me a line at: sunaya19@hotmail.com
Anyway, no idea why I thought of this, but I figured I'd share.
BULL RUN? There's an interesting piece in the Belleville Intel today about the Bulls and their need to "keep up with the Jones'" (or is that Butlers?) in the Eastern Conference after the deal that sent Cory Emmerton to Brampton.
"We're talking," Burnett told reporter Paul Svoboda. "Some things are going on out there but it's got to be the right thing for us. We're not going to do something because somebody else does something."

THE NEW GUY IN CHARGE: The Sudbury Star profiles new OHL referee in chief, Conrad Hache, who hails from nearby Coniston, Ont.
"The league is really keying in on recruiting guys and developing because right now about 60 per cent of games are using the four-man (two-referee) system," Hache tells reporter Trevor Stewart. "One of the reasons we're not at 100 per cent is we don't have the manpower."
What, the OHL's officiating is not at a 100 per cent? Say it ain't so!
