The Plymouth Whalers have signed Beau Schmitz. He was the Whalers top choice in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.
With no other commitments this weekend, I decided to make the trek to Montreal and take in Game 2 of the Montreal/Philadelphia series. It was my first time seeing a Canadiens home game and it was quite an experience.
The OHL has announced the dates for the upcoming OHL final between the Western Conference champion Kitchener Rangers and the Eastern Conference champion Belleville Bulls:
The OHL announced today that Drew Doughty of the Guelph Storm has won the Max Kaminsky Trophy as the OHL's Most Outstanding Defenceman for the 2007-08 season.
With the game tied 1-1 in the third period the Belleville Bulls would go on to net two more goals against the Oshawa Generals -- one with a glove, the other with a skate.
NORTH FORT MYERS, FLA.--- While the OHL is heading down the final stretch of the 2008 playoffs, I’m here in the Sunshine State with my two new best friends, Solarcaine and Aloe Vera.
Plymouth Whalers grad Tom Sestito made his NHL debut Sunday for the Columbus Blue Jackets. But as it turns out, one of the most memorable moments of his first game came afterwards.
As mentioned earlier, Game 2 of the Kitchener Rangers/Sarnia Sting series would be one to remember for years to come. As it turns out, there has only been one game to go longer.

We all have them, games we've attended that we'll remember for a long time. We may not remember every detail, but certainly remember the game itself. Saturday night in Sarnia will certainly be on that list for me.
Not sure why the locals have nicknamed Belleville "BelleVegas," since it's probably as far as one can get from the Vegas. Unless bingo counts as high stakes gaming, then, perhaps, they have a point.
While most OHL players who see their season come to an end by now are disappointed, for a handful there is a consolation prize, they have been named to Team Canada.
