Doyle: It's finally official, Kadri a Knight
Finally we can actually talk about this 100% in the open. The London Knights have acquired the final piece from January's Steve Mason trade with the Kitchener Rangers.
...Kadri goes to the Knights, in exchange the Rangers receive a 2nd round pick in 2011, 3rd round pick in 2011 and 2nd round pick in 2012. Those are all picks that went from the Rangers to the Knights in the original Mason deal.
At the time the deal was:
Steve Mason
for
Phil Varone
Steve Tarasuk
2nd, 3rd, 4th round picks in 2011
2nd round pick in 2012.
Now here is what we have:
Steve Mason
for
Phil Varone
Steve Tarasuk
Nazem Kadri
4th round pick in 2011.
As we've been mentioning on here before, this deal came as no surprise to Kadri, he was kept in the loop from day one and agreed to the move back in January. Compared to some of the moves I've seen in previous years, I do credit both General Managers that everyone involved was kept fully informed about this from the outset.
