Doyle: Kingston prospect heading to USHL
Ethan Werek, the first round choice of the Kingston Frontenacs in 2007, is headed south of the border.
...Werek is planning to suit up for the Indiana Ice for the 2008-09 season, and then head to Boston University in the fall of 2009. Werek previously played for the Stouffville Spirit, a team owner by his father.

"It was a hard decision," Werek told the Stouffville Sun-Tribune. "In the end, I sat down with my family and said Indiana will be a great place for me to develop before I go to Boston University and hopefully get drafted in the National Hockey League. It’ll definitely be hard to leave home. But I’m excited."
The Indiana Ice is the same program John Carlson played for last year. Carlson is going the opposite direction as he decided against going the NCAA route and will suit up for the London Knights in 2008-09.
