Doyle: Petes and Otters swap Holden for Breen
A trade in the Ontario Hockey League today...
...The Erie Otters have traded veteran defenceman Christoper Breen to the Peterborough Petes for blueliner Derek Holden. The Petes also receive a conditional sixth round pick in the deal. Breen gives Peterborough three overage players, and will bring his 6-foot-7 frame to the Peterborough Memorial Centre ice. "Chris brings five years of OHL experience to our blueline. He is a big defenceman that will bring some character and experience to our young blueline," said Petes General Manager Jeff Twohey in a team release.
Holden is from Peterborough and was the Petes third round pick in 2007. He gives the Otters two additional years of eligibility compared to Breen.
