Doyle: Dale Mitchell returns to Windsor, Lofquist to Guelph?
It has been a busy day around the Ontario Hockey League, with two Western Conference teams looking to add players to the roster.
...In Windsor, the Spitfires have announced the return of overage forward Dale Mitchell. He started the season with the AHL's Toronto Marlies but has since been sent to Windsor by the Leafs. "The Windsor Spitfires are very pleased to welcome Dale Mitchell back to the team today," said Spitfires GM Warren Rychel in a team release. "His addition solidifies an already strong corps of forwards on our team. Dale’s experience, energy, passion for the game and skill will be huge assets for us moving forward this season. We look forward to seeing Dale back on the ice."
Mitchell helped lead Windsor back from the brink of elimination at the Memorial Cup when he scored three third period goals in a come-from-behind win over the Rimouski Oceanic.

We have been getting emails throughout the day regarding the Sam Lofquist story we broke here overnight. It does appear likely Lofquist will be suiting up in the Ontario Hockey League shortly. He previously worked out with the London Knights two years ago, but now we're hearing the Guelph Storm are the front-runner to land his services.
