Doyle: Two recent OHL grads traded for each other
We do not usually report on ECHL trades, but this one caught our fancy considering the names involved.
...The Utah Grizzlies have traded forward Matt Caria to the Florida Everblades for forward Jadran Beljo. Caria finished last season with the Plymouth Whalers after stops in Sault Ste. Marie and the St. Michael's Majors during his time in the Ontario Hockey League. He has 11 points in 12 ECHL games so far this season. Beljo was with the Peterborough Petes, Mississauga IceDogs and London Knights but has been in and out of action since leaving the OHL. Injuries kept him out of the 2007-08 season and he has since gone to play in Europe - but his rights were held by Florida.
