Doyle: Belleville trades Matt Tipoff to Kitchener
The rebuilding Belleville Bulls have made another trade, moving one of their veterans to the Kitchener Rangers.
...Matthew Tipoff is off to the Rangers along with Belleville's first round pick in the 2010 CHL Import Draft. In return, the Rangers send forward Alex Aleardi and a fifth round pick in 2011 to the Bulls. Tipoff was Belleville's leading scorer this season with 29 points in 23 games. He's among that group that came into the OHL after lighting it up with the Markham Waxers minor midgets. That team included Steven Stamkos, Michael Del Zotto, Cameron Gaunce and many more. Aleardi is a 1992-birth who has picked up nine points on the back of one goal and eight assists so far this season.
"Alex possesses a tremendous amount skill and speed and is anxious for an opportunity in our young lineup," said Bulls GM/Head Coach George Burnett in a team release.
