Sapurji: Sickest goal of the season?
In case you missed William Wallen's shootout goal during the Mississauga Majors' 3-2 loss to the Windsor Spitfires on Friday -- it's a candidate for goal of the year.
...Now I'm probably a little biased because I'm a fan of Wallen, but to pull a move like that in a shootout against the top ranked team in the country takes balls crazy chutzpah.
And then to not only score, but celebrate by gliding in front of the Windsor bench on one knee? Wow.
He's lucky Dale Mitchell didn't jump over the boards and pull a Jeff Kugel. (remember him?)
Ps. I don't care how wrong the Don Cherry's of the world think Wallen's showboating is, that goal is worthy.
Pss. Watch the clip without audio, it's much better.
