Doyle: Guelph goalie Matt Hoyle reportedly quits Storm
A report out of Guelph has the Storm being down a netminder heading out of the holiday break.
...Guelph Mercury beat reporter Tony Saxon is reporting that Matt Hoyle has quit the team and will head back to school at Harvard. The son of Storm president Rick Hoyle, posted a 4.44 goals against average and 5-7-0-1 record for the underachieving Storm. "I honestly think he’s a better goalie than we’ve seen," Guelph GM/Coach Jason Brooks told the Mercury. "We saw flashes of it, but consistency was Matt’s biggest issue. He’d have one great game, then the next time out he’d struggle."
