Doyle: Breaking down the Barrie/Niagara trade
Now that things have settled down for the time-being, it is a chance to analyze the Barrie/Niagara trade a little bit.

Finally the deal we've all been waiting for is done between the Niaraga IceDogs and the Barrie Colts, involving Team Canada stud defender Alex Pietrangelo.
Doyle: Guelph moves forward to Oshawa in pick swap
While it will not garner the same headlines as another trade today, the Guelph Storm and Oshawa Generals and have a minor swap.
Sapurji: Petro deal details
So it looks like the following... Petro, DeSousa and Petteri Simila to Barrie for Strome and Simon Gronvaldt and picks. We're still unsure if this will be split into two trades.

Another false alarm?? Sorry fans, but according to Barrie Colts asst. GM Jason Ford, the deal is NOT DONE -- but very close.
Sapurji: Whalers bus beached in Niagara
Interviewed Plymouth Whalers head coach and GM Mike Vellucci this morning to see if he had any plans for this glorious trade deadline and learned that the Whalers had arrived home at the wee hours of the morning because some idiot in St. Catharines had tampered with their bus.
Doyle: Saginaw trades goalie Anthony Peters to Belleville
The Belleville Bulls have completed their goaltending duo for the remainder of this season.
