Sapurji: OHL hires Miller as new enforcement officer
KINGSTON, ONT. -- Since the word of the day is 'shenanigans' it's only fitting that the OHL announce today's hiring of Ken Miller as the league's enforcement officer and director of security.
In case you missed it, this summer the Toronto Star's lowly OHL reporter spent some quality time polling league GM's about cooked deals, excess player benefits and the like.
According to the release, Miller’s duties will include the compliance of the policies established by the OHL in the area of player recruitment, player benefits, player environment and assisting in the coordination and support of security of special events.
Good luck to you, sir.
The North Bay native recently retired as a Regional Commander, Chief Superintendent with the OPP after 32 years of service. Miller also knows the OHL, having been involved with the OHL’s officiating department -- as a supervisor of officials -- for the last 27 years.
