Doyle: Oshawa picks up Melchiori from Kitchener
01/08/12 20:18 , Categories: blog
Just one day after adding two defencemen from Owen Sound, the Oshawa Generals blueline makeover continues.
...The Generals have acquired overage defenceman Julian Melchiori from the Kitchener Rangers in return for Oshawa's 4th round picks in 2015 and 2016. The move of Melchiori came after the Rangers learned the Boston Bruins were reassigning forward Tyler Randell to Kitchener, after playing with the AHL Providence Bruins this season. The Generals originally drafted Melchiori in the 14th round of the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.

Gens now have 4 OAs. If DePiero cannot trade 1 in next 60 minutes, I suspect that Maggio will be waived.
