There is always that argument between Most Valuable Player versus Most Outstanding Player. The Red Tilson Trophy is awarded to the Most Outstanding Player in the OHL. But if I was to make a vote for the player deemed most valuable to his team in the OHL at this point in the season, the choice would be easy right now.

The Erie Otters have brought in overager Lyon Messier, who had been trying to land a spot in the Western Hockey League. He is the son of soon-to-be Hall of Famer Mark Messier.

The Niagara Ice Dogs have acquired forward Aaron Snow from the Windsor Spitfires in return for fourth round pick in 2009 and third rounder in 2010.
Doyle: Conrad Hache new OHL Director of Officiating
After a search that lasted more than one year, the OHL has hired Conrad Hache as its new Director of Officiating/Referee-in-Chief.

Doyle: Sting trade Mifflen to Belleville
The Sarnia Sting have moved disgruntled defenceman Chris Mifflen to the Belleville Bulls in return for draft picks.
