The Plymouth Whalers have signed Beau Schmitz. He was the Whalers top choice in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.
Doyle: Montreal - Quite a place to see a game!
With no other commitments this weekend, I decided to make the trek to Montreal and take in Game 2 of the Montreal/Philadelphia series. It was my first time seeing a Canadiens home game and it was quite an experience.

Not sure why the locals have nicknamed Belleville "BelleVegas," since it's probably as far as one can get from the Vegas. Unless bingo counts as high stakes gaming, then, perhaps, they have a point.
Doyle: OHL well represented on Canadian U-18 team
While most OHL players who see their season come to an end by now are disappointed, for a handful there is a consolation prize, they have been named to Team Canada.
