The Plymouth Whalers have signed Beau Schmitz. He was the Whalers top choice in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection.
Doyle: Montreal - Quite a place to see a game!
With no other commitments this weekend, I decided to make the trek to Montreal and take in Game 2 of the Montreal/Philadelphia series. It was my first time seeing a Canadiens home game and it was quite an experience.

While most OHL players who see their season come to an end by now are disappointed, for a handful there is a consolation prize, they have been named to Team Canada.

Taylor Hall burst onto the OHL scene this year with the Windsor Spitfires, setting the team's rookie goal scoring record. He's now been rewarded for his rookie campaign by OHL writers and broadcasters.
