For the Spokane Chiefs, it was an almost perfect visit to Kitchener-Waterloo for the 2008 Memorial Cup. They went undefeated in the round-robin, and went on to knock off the hometown team to capture junior hockey's holy grail.

The CHL's top prize is staying in the Ontario Hockey League. Kitchener Rangers centre Justin Azevedo has been named the CHL Player of the Year.

The Kitchener Rangers are the 2008 Ontario Hockey League champions. The Rangers won Game 7 on home-ice 4-1 over the Belleville Bulls.

One of the worst-kept secrets in the OHL (at least in the past week) came true today as the Oshawa Generals have relieved GM Brad Selwood of his duties, with two years remaining on his contract. It quickly appears that new co-owner Rocco Tullio is trying to put his stamp on the organization.
