Sapurji: Whalers bus beached in Niagara
01/08/10 11:30 , Categories: blog Interviewed Plymouth Whalers head coach and GM Mike Vellucci this morning to see if he had any plans for this glorious trade deadline and learned that the Whalers had arrived home at the wee hours of the morning because some idiot in St. Catharines had tampered with their bus.
...According to Vellucci, a plug on one of the tires on the bus had been popped off purposely to let the air out -- so the team was left waiting at the arena until it could be fixed. All this after a 4-2 loss to the IceDogs which also saw Vellucci ejected (click here for more on that).
That delay combined with the poor conditions on the roads last night made for an arrival back at the Compuware Arena around 4 a.m.
The people who would do this kind of thing aren't fans, they're losers.

Hopefully the new arena can be built with a bus garage for visitors.
If not, hopefully they can catch the idiot!
