Sapurji: Murovich hurls Spirit into playoffs
So I was reading a story in the Saginaw News about the Spirit's 6-3 win over the Whalers on Tuesday when the article took a turn for the gross.
...The piece written by reporter Kyle Austin detailed how Saginaw captain Tyler Murovich was illin’ like a villain prior to the game -- and by that I mean puking his guts out in the dressing room toilet.
Now as if that visual isn't disturbing enough, here's what Murovich had to say after the game:
"The guys got to hear it before the game, they could hear me in the bathroom," Murovich told the paper. "I think it pumped them up to hear me puking and then going right onto the ice."
And to think, some teams listen to bad techno to get pumped up. Maybe the Spirit should add Murovich's hurling to their warm-up music rotation -- it worked after all, with Saginaw clinching a playoff spot with the victory.
